Yes. DockTXT never uses iCloud, iCloud Drive, or any cloud account. Text is saved locally on your Mac with standard app storage. You can use it fully offline.

Both. DockTXT shows a Dock icon and a standard app menu, plus a menu bar extra. Open or hide the floating drawer from the menu bar, the app menu, or ⌘⇧P.

Click the DockTXT item in the menu bar and choose Open / Hide Drawer, or press ⌘⇧P. Hide collapses the drawer to a thin edge tab without quitting.

Yes. Open the Diff tab, paste Text A (base) and Text B (compare). DockTXT runs a case-sensitive character comparison and highlights mismatches in red — useful for API keys and tokens.

It is designed for a near-zero memory footprint and minimal battery drain. It is a native AppKit panel, stays offline, and does not run background network jobs.

Each pane accepts up to 25,000 characters of plain text. Rich formatting is not kept — you only work with clean strings.

DockTXT is available now on Mac via the Mac App Store. Support for other devices is coming later. It is not an iPhone or iPad app today.
