How long can a short link alias be?
Aliases are 1 to 20 characters (letters and numbers). That includes ultra-short one-character links like p1.do/s/x — and those vanish first. Claim a 1-character alias now if it’s still free.
Are short links free on P1.do?
Yes. Free accounts can create up to 20 short links at https://p1.do/s/{alias}. Premium raises the limit to 200 and unlocks custom domains, tracking pixels, and a developer API.
What happens if someone else claims my alias first?
Aliases are first-come, first-served—especially the rare 1-character names. Once another account claims p1.do/s/yourname, that path is theirs until it returns to the pool. Act now if you want a short, memorable name.
Do free short links expire?
Inactive free short links (no recent creator login and fewer than 5 clicks in 90 days) receive email warnings, then may be purged so the alias can be claimed again. Premium links are not subject to that free-tier retention purge.
Can I use my own domain for short links?
Yes on Premium. Add a hostname under Dashboard → Short Links → Domains, publish the TXT and DNS records shown, verify, and share branded short links on your own domain with HTTPS.
Do UTMs and click tracking work?
Yes. Query parameters on the short URL (including UTMs) are forwarded to the destination. You get click analytics in the dashboard; Premium adds tracking pixels and API access.
